To Snack or Not To Snack?

This morning as I was preparing for what was going to be a twelve hour day of work I decided that,  in addition to lunch, it would be important for me pack some snacks to eat. I often don’t think about the importance of carrying food to snack on throughout the day and most people are on the go for so many hours every day that they don’t even eat at all. I almost never remember to pack something to eat, but today I threw an apple and a bag of cashews in my purse. It got me thinking: what kinds of snack foods does everyone love to eat? Do you make it yourself, or is there a particular store-brought brand that you enjoy? What fills you up and gives you enough energy to get through your day, and what snacks leave you lagging behind?
